WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO JOIN? The Club has a one-time initiation fee of $35.00, and the annual dues are $124.00 (The dues may be paid semi-annually or annually). Lunch at our Weekly meetings is $11.00. Dues include membership in Kiwanis International; membership in Pacific Northwest Kiwanis; and an annual subscription to the monthly Kiwanis Magazine. HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO GIVE? We understand your time is valuable. Even those of us that are you are retired, have only so much time to give. Some of our members are in a position to give many hours, while others can help only in special “work parties” or assist in funding special events. So, we ask members to participate in activities only as they are able. Kiwanis is a great organization. It won’t take long for you to find that you are getting more out of Kiwanis than you put in because ever moment you offer the community makes it a better place. And, the fellowship that develops from working together creates true friendships in the course of time. WHAT DOES KIWANIS OFFER ME? The Tigard Kiwanis Club offers you an opportunity to share your experience, your knowledge and your time in service to your community; fun, fellowship and the enjoyment of doing good for others with men and women of diverse backgrounds who are unified by their interest in the Tigard community. WHO CAN JOIN? Kiwanis is a family organization and all members of your family over the age of 18 are welcome to join. We invite you to attend one of our meetings as our guest. Come to lunch this Wednesday and see why you will want to say “YES” when invited to join the Tigard Kiwanis Club! |
