THE KIWANIS CLUB OF TIGARD SERVES A BROAD SPECTRUM OF CIVIC NEEDS.

And the best part about that service is that all funds raised by Kiwanis go to community service.

Here are examples of our clubs work:


Locally we:

  • Sponsor two Key Clubs for service-minded young people at the Tigard and Sherwood Senior High Schools
  • Provide Scholarships for graduating Tigard Senior High School students
  • Support the Tigard area Safety Town Program
  • Work on Commercial Street as participants in the City of Tigard’s Adopt-A-Street Program Cook
  • Serve meals at Tigard’s Good Neighbor Center (Homeless Shelter)
  • Participate in Adopt-a-Family programs during the Holiday Season

On a Regional level we:

  • Contribute funds and direct service support to the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp for handicapped children
  • Support the Kiwanis Bone Morrow Transplant unit at Doernbecher Childrens Hospital
  • Participate in the Salvation Army Kettle Program
  • Provide service to The Oregon Food Bank Westside Learning Garden

Our Worldwide contributions include:

  • Support of Medical Teams International
  • Sponsorship of two overseas children
  • Support of the Kiwanis – UNICEF Iodine Deficiency Disorder Project
